Bathroom Cleaning Tips – Part II

If you have already started using the bathroom cleaning tips part I then we assume you have been waiting for the second part. We didn’t want to keep you waiting for too long so here is more tips for bathroom cleaning. If you missed the first part you can have a look from here.

The showerhead: If you have never cleaned the showerhead, well now it’s time. Don’t worry it’s one of the easiest tips in the checklist. Immerse the showerhead in a resealable plastic bag filled with vinegar and secure the bag with a rubber band. Let it sit for a few hours, remove the bag and run the shower for a few minutes to remove any dirt from the showerhead.

The sink: The sink is not one of the most neglected areas but still need some attention and of course regular cleaning. You can use a mixture of dishwashing liquid and warm water. Scrub the mixture on the sink until it becomes clean enough for you.

The walls: If you see any marks on the walls start with using magic eraser then mop the walls. Any wet area left on the walls should be wiped with a dry cloth as wet walls are perfect for inviting mould to your bathroom.

When you clean your bathroom’s wall make sure you dry it well.

The drains: Clogged drains can cause trouble in the bathroom. You can maintain and clean the drains with some Aka Seltzer tablets and vinegar. Drop 2-3 tablets down the drain and pour a cup of vinegar, let it sit for 10 minutes. Pour hot water and rinse out the drain. Doing this every once in a while will keep your drains clean, unclogged and continues to be pocket-friendly.

The floor: We recommend you clean the floor at the end because every other task will probably mess the floors. Start by vacuuming or sweeping the floor. If there are areas with heavy soap scum buildups apply the non-stick cooking spray. Wash it with cold water after 15 minutes. Finish it off by mopping the floor.

Bathroom floor cleaning should be your last task.

The toilet: We left the toilet and toilet brush tips to the end as for most people this is the dirtiest task in the checklist. But not anymore with these easy tips. There are a few easy ways of performing these tasks. If you are a cola drinker you might stop being one after the first one. Empty one can of cola in the toilet and let it sit for an hour. Flush it after doing some scrubbing with the toilet brush. The second way is to sprinkle baking soda over the toilet and pouring some hydrogen peroxide over it. Scrub the toilet after 15 minutes. Stuff a paper towel soaked in vinegar under the rim of the toiler. Remove the paper and scrub under the rim with a small brush. Flush and see how all the dirt goes away.

The toilet brush: Second dirty task in the list would be the toilet brush cleaning. If you add a small amount of pine-sol to the holder it will make the brush ready for the next use. Plus every time you use the brush your bathroom will smell fresh.
